This introductory Course for Aerial Pilates is designed to help you gain awareness and confidence in using the hammock as a prop. If you're not an aerialist or used to using this type of equipment an aerial hammock moves, feels and behaves quite differently from any type of equipment you may have used before. If you have joined one of the workshops, you’ll know that just getting in and out of the hammock safely at different heights takes practice and a lot of trust. So on this 4 week consecutive course, as well as learning the fundamentals of the Air Control Pilates® Method we concentrate on getting you confident with your hammock. It’s a bit like having a new tool to play with, getting used to how it moves and behaves, as well as building your trust and confidence in using the fabric. In the 4 week course we will cover * Positions we use - prone - supine - quadruped - sidelying - types of inventions and how to get in and out of them safely. * How to use and connect your core through the movement with the fabric v’s core connection on a mat. *Free flowing movement. *How and why the fundamentals of Air Control Pilates® help you and your body, unwind, rework and rethink how to fully release tension whilst also engaging in some serious core workouts, increasing flexibility and how inversion positions help to improve posture in a safe and powerful way. There’s a maximum number of 4 people in each course, so you’re guaranteed to get all the guidance and support you need to help you learn and explore the Air Control Pilates® method.
